Meet Dr. Plaza
Dr. Efrain Plaza, DMD
Dr. Efrain Plaza is committed to providing the highest quality dentistry to his patients. His goal is to listen to his patients’ needs, provide the care necessary for them to achieve good oral health, and make them feel as comfortable as possible.
Dr. Plaza graduated Magna cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine, Medical Science Campus, with his Doctorate of Dental Medicine. Since completing his formal education, he has continued his training in implant technology and Invisalign® in order to provide the highest quality of care to every patient.
In keeping with his focus on Implant expertise, In 2019, Dr. Plaza completed an Applied All-on-4 course with Implant Seminars, the leader in continuing post-graduate dental education. In addition to learning the surgical and prosthodontic protocols, and procedures required to provide All-on-4 treatment, this course included hands-on experience performing the All-on-4 procedure on an actual patient. In 2020, Dr. Plaza completed the PRP/PRF Implant seminar at the International Implant Center in Miami, FL. This training focused on phlebotomy techniques to enhance implant patient healing.
Dr. Plaza recently added to the services he can offer his patients by undergoing advanced training in facial aesthetics. He is certified to administer BOTOX®.
Growing up in a military family. Dr. Plaza has lived in Puerto Rico, Virginia, Texas, Massachusetts, and South Carolina. He was happy to settle in the Altamonte Springs area and become an active member of the community.
When he’s not in the office, Dr. Plaza enjoys running, weight lifting, reading, traveling, and dining out. He is fluent in English and Spanish. He gives back to the community by participating in Dentistry from the Heart, a yearly day of free dentistry for those with no access to dental care.
